Having recognised the huge potential of LPG, a product that was still largely unknown in the post-war years, Prof. Giuseppe Costantino Dragan – who moved to Italy in 1940 to study Political and Economic Science after graduating in Law from the University of Bucharest – founded ButanGas S.p.A. in 1948.

The immediate success enjoyed by ButanGas in Italy persuaded him, in the early 1950s, to broaden the range of his investments in various European countries but also outside of Europe. This was the genesis of the Dragan Group, today coordinated and managed by Veroniki Holding.

Since the outset, the Group has stood out for its extreme diversity both in terms of the countries where it is present and the sectors in which it operates, and its recent history is just as complex and dynamic. In fact, over the years the Group has launched many business, cultural, educational, scientific, editorial and social initiatives in various countries.
